Black chrome plating
Black chrome plating is a chrome plating that has been chemically altered to produce a black color. Chrome is applied electrostatically to a metal surface, such as an automobile rim or motorcycle exhaust pipe.
Black chrome plating has a unique appearance that showcases not only the high reflectivity of shiny chrome, but also a depth not seen in other polished surfaces. Black chrome plating provides some protection against corrosion due to the need for an undercoat consisting largely of copper or nickel plating. The black chrome coating on the Electroless Boron Coating specially applied by our company provides unique scratch resistance and makes your products more preferable for the end user.
The high-gloss black chrome plating is used as a decorative surface on visible parts of cars and motorcycles, as well as on household fixtures such as faucets. In contrast, matte black chrome plating is used on the interior of telescopes and microscopes and other areas where light reflection would interfere with the operation of the device.
